DIET FOR LIVER PATIENTS – EVENING

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

As a good diet for the liver we suggest the following:

A little while after the meal you can have a cup of cereal coffee (Bambu Coffee Substitute) with milk but no sugar.

Evening: soup made with oats, barley or brown rice with a few vegetables added; mixed salad, seasoned with lemon juice or sour milk, but never with vinegar. For the sake of variety, sandwiches and different salads may be served, followed by cereal coffee with a little milk.

Always remember that fruit is taboo while the liver is out of order.

CHRONIC CONSTIPATION – THE DANGERS OF LEAVING CONSTIPATION UNTREATED (GENERAL INFORMATION)

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

If the condition is allowed to go untreated, it may have grave consequences. So never shrug it off lightly; constipation is a dangerous thing. A malignant growth leading to obstruction of the bowels (ileus) may be the result of constipation that has existed for thirty years. An artificial rectal exit (anus) is certainly not a desirable answer to the problem. We often fail to appreciate the automatic devices of our body until it is too late, that is, at the moment when these natural functions fail. They should never be taken for granted and every consideration must be given to nature’s requirements. Even the most skilful surgeon can produce nothing but a makeshift solution, in comparison to the original. Only someone who has had to put up with the burden of an artificial rectal opening is able to appreciate and comprehend the marvellous working of our anal sphincter. So, never let things get to the point of neglecting proper movement of the bowels.

EPILEPSY – REASONING ON THE EVIDENCE (INDIVIDUAL NATURE)

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

It is unfortunate that to this day specific medicines are prescribed which treat the symptoms, the external signs, without giving due consideration to what the body may lack internally. As a result, the condition cannot be improved or cured. Hence the need to find out the cause of the deficiency and then endeavour to rectify it.

Not everyone needs the same amount of every substance. Depending on the individual’s nature, his temperament and hereditary disposition, his specific deficiencies and affections, the need for a particular element may be greater than normal, requiring more vitamins, mineral salts or other substances to restore the proper balance in the system.

A report from an acquaintance in the United States, an epileptic since her youth, confirms this assumption. She wrote to me saying that she was well aware of the excellent effects of kelp for epilepsy and had been using it for more than ten years. But she also mentioned in her letter that she believed that taking a biological calcium preparation in addition to the kelp had helped her even more. Since her attacks had been severe and frequent, it was a source of great satisfaction to learn that she was able to overcome them by taking these supplements and by adhering to a diet rich in calcium.

PHLEBITIS (INFLAMMATION OF THE VEINS)

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Alcohol compresses are very good for phlebitis. Better still are compresses with tinctures from plants such as St John’s wort, yarrow or marigold. These are always indicated for phlebitis. If you take Aesculaforce at the same time, or an infusion of St John’s wort, yarrow, and arnica, the problem will be treated from the inside as well. The use of yet another plant, Echinacea, is also important for effecting a cure. The fresh herb preparation Echin-aforce supports the body’s efforts in combatting bacteria, which are always present in phlebitis. Usneasan and the homoeopathic medicine Lachesis 12x have a similar effect. By taking these remedies it will be possible to prevent blood poisoning, which sometimes accompanies phlebitis.

Changing one’s eating habits will be of further benefit, bringing faster relief. A natural diet should be followed, preferably a vegetarian one, and plenty of fruit and vegetable juices should be included.
