EPILEPSY – REASONING ON THE EVIDENCE (INDIVIDUAL NATURE)

It is unfortunate that to this day specific medicines are prescribed which treat the symptoms, the external signs, without giving due consideration to what the body may lack internally. As a result, the condition cannot be improved or cured. Hence the need to find out the cause of the deficiency and then endeavour to rectify it.

Not everyone needs the same amount of every substance. Depending on the individual’s nature, his temperament and hereditary disposition, his specific deficiencies and affections, the need for a particular element may be greater than normal, requiring more vitamins, mineral salts or other substances to restore the proper balance in the system.

A report from an acquaintance in the United States, an epileptic since her youth, confirms this assumption. She wrote to me saying that she was well aware of the excellent effects of kelp for epilepsy and had been using it for more than ten years. But she also mentioned in her letter that she believed that taking a biological calcium preparation in addition to the kelp had helped her even more. Since her attacks had been severe and frequent, it was a source of great satisfaction to learn that she was able to overcome them by taking these supplements and by adhering to a diet rich in calcium.
